Ilhan Omar, Democratic Minnesota Rep., claimed Wednesday night that Lauren Boebert, Republican Colorado Rep. “defecates”. [and]”Defiles the House of Representatives” and accused her husband of being a “pervert.”
After Omar referred to Omar in a “jihad squad” manner and referenced an unconfirmed allegation that Omar had married her brother, Omar launched a broadside at Boebert.
Boebert referenced Omar while attacking Eric Swalwell of California and other Democrats to defend Republican Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar. The House censured Gosar and stripped him of his committee assignments.
REP. BOEBERT RAISES SWALWELL CHINESE SPY SCANDAL ON HOUSE FLOOR: ‘SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY’
“The jihad squad member from Minnesota has paid her husband – and not her brother-husband – the other one, over a million dollars in campaign funds. Boebert stated that this member is allowed to sit on the Foreign Affairs Committee while she praises terrorists.
Omar retorted on Twitter Wednesday night at Boebert
“Fortunately my dad raised me right, or else I might have gone up to the floor to discuss this insurrectionist who slumbers with a pervert,” the Minnesota congresswoman tweeted. “I am grateful I was raised to be a decent human and not a deprived person who shamefully defecates & defiles the House of Representatives.”
Omar’s attack on Boebert’s husband may refer to a 2004 arrest.
After Boebert knocked Swalwell over his involvement in a Chinese spy, Swalwell and Boebert also had a verbal spat.
Boebert spoke out about Swalwell, saying that Swalwell was his colleague and three-month presidential candidate, from California. “Let me repeat that again. A member of Congress who received classified briefings was caught sleeping with the enemy.
Swalwell’s ties to suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang, were first reported by Axios last December and prompted House Republicans to draft a resolution to remove Swalwell from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, but the resolution was tabled by the Democrats. Axios had reported that Fang targeted up-and-coming politicians, including Swalwell, and that federal investigators alerted Swalwell of Fang’s behavior in 2015. Swalwell then cut off all ties with Fang and has not been accused of any wrongdoing, the report said.
Swalwell retorted on Boebert’s comments via Twitter, writing “Weird. The FBI would have raided and searched my home if I had done any wrong. They didn’t (and went as far to issue a statement saying I did nothing wrong). BUT yesterday they did raid the home of @laurenboebert’s campaign manager. They’re always projecting.”
Local media reported Wednesday the federal, state, and local authorities searched Sherronna bishop’s home along with three other people, including Tina Peters (Mesa County Clerk) as part of an investigation into allegations Peters was involved in security breaches to voting machines.
