Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians wasn’t happy with his team’s performance against the Washington Football Team.
The Bucs were coming off a week-end bye, having lost to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8. Many expected them to bounce back against a team which had lost four straight. But Washington won a 29-19 victory Sunday afternoon.

After the performance, Arians lashed at his team.
It has nothing to do wtih ability. Execution and being a smart football player are the key ingredients. We are a very stupid football team. That’s a reflection of the coaches,” Arians stated via ESPN.
The Bucs had 11 penalties against the Saints in their matchup. Although that number was lower in Washington’s matchup, Tampa Bay still managed to score six penalties. Howard jumping offsides on the team’s first offensive play of the game.

Arians stated that passion and energy are both very fixable. “The penalties — they’ve gotta get corrected sooner or later. They’re shifting the first play, and we jump offsides. They don’t even run a play and we jump onsides. If we’re going to get anywhere, then the stupidity has got to go.
Tom Brady threw for only 220 yards, with two touchdowns (and two interceptions). The Bucs wide receivers had three dropped passes during the game. Tampa Bay finished the season with 273 yards total and 14 first downs.

Arians said, “It is very disappointing.” “It is very alarming to observe the energy at each practice and see that Sunday brings a lack in execution and energy. We have a lot to do in the way of soul-searching.”
The Buccaneers are looking to bounce back on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants in Week 11.
