Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, a former wide receiver on the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals, recently left a huge tip for one lucky server at a North Carolina restaurant.
On Wednesday, Johnson, 44, tweeted a photo of his bill from Stephanie’s Restaurant II in Greensboro.
Johnson left a $1,000 tip even though his meal cost only $24.39 according to the post.

He wrote that he had scored six touchdowns in Madden once using himself.
Under his signature, Johnson also wrote: “‘I love you.’”

In addition to the Twitter photo, the former football star included a Biblical quotation in the caption: “Proverbs 11,25.”
According to Biblegateway.com, this passage from the New International Version states: “A generous person can prosper; whoever refreshes other people will be refreshed.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Johnson and Stephanie’s Restaurant II for comment.
Johnson posted the image online. The tweet was retweeted 1,050 time and received over 19,300 likes.
One person said, “I was once server.” “Seeing people give to servers like this is touching. It’s amazing to see people give to servers.”
“People don’t realize how much this stuff matters,” another wrote, in part. The tip is good, but showing love can make a world of difference. [sic]Working in the service sector.

Johnson has not been the only one to tip a restaurant worker $1,000.
He spent the same amount in 2020 for a $37 restaurant tab and shared a tweet with a photo of his bill. He also captioned that post with “Proverbs 11.25”
“Congratulations for reopening. I am sorry about the pandemic. Johnson wrote, “I LOVE YOU”, on the bill.
